A Crayola crayon sculpture (in Lafayette maroon!) made its way to campus in spring ’26, and is stationed outside the College Store, ready to greet campus visitors.
It’s the latest way Crayola and Lafayette, two Easton institutions, have partnered in celebration of Lafayette’s Bicentennial.
In summer 2025, Crayola announced it would release four custom crayon colors—Marquis Maroon, Cur Non Royal, Golden Leopard, and Day on the Quad—to celebrate Lafayette’s 200th anniversary. The limited edition colors sport custom labels, and are included in a commemorative 64-pack of crayons featuring the Bicentennial logo. See how the crayons are made.
