Kia Corthron, an award-winning playwright and novelist and writer for TV’s The Wire, will give a novel and play reading and answer questions on Thursday at 7 p.m. Participate via Zoom.
Titled “Imagining the World As It Should Be: Black, Indigenous, Asian and Latina Female Playwrights on Race, Gender, Theater, and American Culture in Crisis,” the event is presented by Lafayette’s Humanities Center Speaker Series. It is sponsored by the Cyril S. Lang ’49 Center for the Humanities Endowment Fund with support from the Theater Department, English Department, Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program, and Africana Studies Program.
