Bernard Fried, 88, who spent 37 years as a member of the Lafayette faculty, died Dec. 21 at Kirkland Village, Bethlehem.
Over the span of 63 years at Lafayette, he made enormous contributions to the college. He was head of the Chemistry Department for 13 years.
