The Office for Civil Rights, Department of Education issued its new Title IX regulations, Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Sex in Education Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance, on May 6. This left institutions with three months to rewrite policies and procedures to be in compliance by Aug. 14. As a result, the Presidential Oversight Committee on Sexual Misconduct reconvened this summer and has developed an interim policy and procedures. The committee will hold open meetings to discuss the Interim Policy and Procedures on Equal Opportunity, Harassment and Non-Discrimination on Monday, Sept. 21, at noon and Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 4:10 p.m. Register now.
