A dog stands by a bed.Prof. Bianca Falbo, who teaches FYS 77, The Dog Course, decided to switch the in-person demonstration of the sport of canine nosework for a hands-on, and nose-on, remote session. Students watched a pre-recorded interview with local dog trainer Melanie Kerber conducted by Professor Falbo. The class then used the synchronous meeting for the demonstration/workshop. Because students were at home with their own dogs, they were able to try nosework for themselves. Even a couple of cats were able to participate.
