A 19th century photo of a man carrying a sculpture at Saint-Alban, FranceRaphael Koenig, associate scholar in comparative literature at Harvard, will give a talk via Zoom on “Art, Resistance, and Psychiatry in Saint-Alban (1940-1944)” on March 4 at 4:15 p.m. EST.  This medical humanities lecture will explore the interactions among artistic production, resistance activities, and progressive psychiatry at the Saint-Alban hospital in France during WWII and their impact on the work of two of its most notable medical interns, Felix Guattari and Frantz Fanon. The event is sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
