The Lehigh Valley Engaged Humanities Consoritium logo, an illustration of trees, the sun, and buildings Past, Place, and Presence in the Lehigh Valley, a workshop sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Engaged Humanities Consortium, will take place April 2 from 1-4:15 p.m. and April 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Participants will be paid a $250 stipend. The workshop will explore the geographical and historical dimensions of human experience in the Lehigh Valley through the lens of the digital humanities. Activities will include presentations by important scholars in the field, instruction in digital tools and resources, and a chance to network with others in our region who have an interest in mapping the past in order to understand the present. The workshop is designed both to introduce ongoing projects and to serve as a catalyst for new ones. No experience is required.
