One person using a shovel and another holding the trunk plant a tree. You’re invited to join in as Easton marks its 21st year of being a Tree City USA on April 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the blue bridge on the Karl Stirner Arts Trail.

Following a reading of the Tree City proclamation, there will be a guided walk by Rob Christopher, the city of Easton’s forester, to explore the trees along the trail. COVID-19 precautions will be followed including social distancing.

Tree Cities maintain a tree board or department, have a community tree ordinance, spend at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrate Arbor Day.
