The Lafayette College athletics logo, an illustration of a leopard head next to a maroon letter LUnder normal circumstances, Athletic Communications pushes very hard year-round, especially during the fall and spring seasons, to promote and cover our 23 Division I teams. It’s without a doubt one of the hardest-working groups on campus. This spring, AthComm faced the massive additional challenge of teams that had been sidelined by COVID-19 in the fall competing in spring seasons concurrently with existing spring teams. And yet somehow, the social media feeds were filled with engaging content; GoLeopards.com kept us informed with previews, wrapups, and news stories; and live action for so many games was streamed on ESPN+. All of this was delivered without a drop in the quality and creativity that have characterized AthComm’s content.

The team—including Scott Morse, Phil Labella, Brian Ludrof, John Sabino, Hannah Simmons, and Gina Stocker—absolutely posterized the challenges of COVID-19 with a massive slam dunk of excellence this spring. A grateful Leopards nation thanks you!
