Women’s ice hockey wins

Under new head coach Brian Betke, the women’s ice hockey club team started its season with two victories against Indiana University of Pennsylvania, 6-3 and 4-0, at S&T Bank Arena in Indiana, Pa. Lauren Williams ’22 recorded her first shutout win. Gillian Boulé ’25 scored a hat trick in the first game. Others scoring goals were captain Genevieve McClean ’23, Leslie Phillips ’23, Catherine Merritt ’25, and Layla Ennis ’23.

The next game is against Slippery Rock University at 2 p.m. Nov. 6 at The Rink at Lehigh Valley in Hokendauqua, Pa. The team won the Delaware Valley College Hockey Conference Division III title last season and is gunning for a repeat.
