Michael Bertucci, assistant professor of chemistry, and his partner, Jesse Keroack, welcomed their baby boy, Luca Bertucci, into the world on Nov. 1. They are very excited and, as seen in the photo, he is already contemplating chemistry’s greatest mysteries!

Luca’s birth comes after a late-term loss of their daughter, Bailey Karen Bertucci, in August 2020. The couple wishes to extend their sympathies and support to anyone who has or is currently struggling with infant loss.
