The removal and rebuilding of the Markle Parking Deck will begin on Dec. 22. You may see some activity over the coming weeks as preparations begin, but access to the parking deck will remain until the end of the day on Dec. 21. This means that all faculty, staff, and students assigned to the parking deck, as well as many others who park in other locations, will receive temporary parking assignments for the spring semester. Construction of the new deck is a necessary upgrade to the campus infrastructure, adding parking capacity and a new entrance to Admissions.
Parking in a new location is temporary as the new deck is expected to be completed prior to the fall 2022 semester. The community’s understanding and patience over the upcoming months is greatly appreciated.
You can help ease parking congestion by walking to work if you live close enough, carpooling, and always using your assigned lot. Parking in a lot not assigned to you is a violation of College policy and can result in revocation of your parking registration. It also takes away the parking space that someone else is depending on.
