The Lafayette College Arts Society and the Lafayette Arts Alumni Network are delighted to announce the J. Larry Stockton Scholarship for Private Music Lessons! We plan to award two scholarships for the Spring 2022 semester, and hope to award at least two per semester for many, many years to come.

The Scholarship covers the cost of private music lessons offered by the Department of Music: one semester of lessons on one instrument. Recipients need not be members of a Department of Music performance ensemble, and they do not have to enroll in lessons for academic credit. Recipients will be required to reapply for subsequent semesters.

To apply, please e-mail Allison Blatt, Williams Center for the Arts director of operations and patron services, or visit the Arts Society’s OurCampus page. The application must be received by artssociety@lafayette.edu no later than 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 27. Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than Thursday, February 3, in order to meet the add-drop deadline the next day.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed anonymously by members of Lafayette Arts Alumni Network, who will choose the recipients through a ranked-choice selection process.

Ask questions if you have them! We look forward to receiving your application!
