The Historic Easton Cemetery is pleased to present the first Green Traill 5K!
Race day: Sunday, May 1, 9:00 a.m.
This may be a short race, but it won’t be easy. Our challenging course will take you through the cemetery’s rolling hills, bumpy roads and 300’ of elevation.
“Green Traill” is a reference to the cemetery’s founder, Dr. Traill Green. Dr. Green was a medical doctor, teacher, botanist, geologist, chemist, Lafayette professor, humanitarian, and author. Dr. Green became the first president of the Board of Directors and served for 40 years. As a tribute to his years of service a bronze statue was unveiled with great ceremony at the entrance to the cemetery in 1911.
Entry is $30 per person through April 15; after April 15, entry is $40 per person.
The race will be capped at 200 participants.
