Anne Houston, dean of libraries, has accepted a position as director of Swarthmore College Libraries and College Librarian.
“It has been really wonderful working with Anne Houston. As Dean of Libraries she worked with her colleagues to advance a great many important initiatives at the College, including DEI and digital scholarship initiatives,” said Provost John Meier. Meier also noted her thoughtful contributions during the crisis moments of the COVID-19 pandemic. “Anne was critical both at the College level, and in thinking about the impact and necessary actions within the academic division,” Meier said.
“We will greatly miss Anne’s thoughtful and reflective approach to responding to issues that arise and considering future initiatives of the College.”
