System Off buttonITS would like to remind anyone using a smart classroom to turn off the system before they leave by pressing the red “System Off” button on the touch panel. Sometimes it may appear the system is off because the video is muted or an unused input is selected, but to be sure, please press the “System Off” button on the touch panel. Turning off these systems will help to ensure the longevity of the equipment.

If we know another class is scheduled in the same room immediately after our class, is it better to leave the system on for 10 to 15 minutes instead of having it cycle off and on so quickly?

Hi John, thanks for the question! We switched all the projectors to laser projection, so they boot up in seconds. As such, we’d much rather folks turn off the systems regardless of when the next class or event is occurring in the smart classroom. I can appreciate the consideration, but given the speed it takes for the projectors to turn on, we recommend turning off the smart classroom systems when you’re done using them.
