Come show your support during Raise Up Inclusive STEM by joining with others from the Lafayette community on the Quad from Thurs., Sept. 29. There will be food from Geaker’s Tacos and Kiersten’s Creations, music, kite-building, and free merchandise.

The event will highlight the programs of the Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education and the launch of RAISE, a new student group. RAISE stands for Representatives to Advance Inclusive STEM Education, which is a coalition of existing student STEM organizations and “at large” members.

RAISE will collaborate on yearly projects to help promote inclusion and equity in STEM education at Lafayette. Learn more about the terrific student affinity-groups in STEM. Watch as students from art classes taught by Professors Nestor Gil and Jim Toia raise up their self-designed kites and wind-powered art at the event to show support for inclusive STEM and RAISE. Come have some fun and show your support for inclusion and equity in STEM! All are welcome.
