A section of College Avenue will be restricted to one lane traffic from Mon. Oct. 24, through Fri. Oct. 28 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
We understand that this is the second time a closure has been needed and apologize for any inconvenience. The first occurrence allowed us to clear the areas we knew were impacted and allowed crews to safely survey and layout the new elevated boardwalk system. This closure will allow the contractor to remove any remaining trees and vegetation needed to continue the construction activities and could not have been done during the first closure as they were not known.
If you received a notification to relocate your vehicle, please follow the instructions within that notification. While we hope that the LCAT shuttle is not impacted by this lane closure, we ask that students, faculty, and staff are understanding of any delays this may cause.
Reminder: The intersection of McCartney Street and College Avenue lacks a well-defined pedestrian crossing. Pedestrians are encouraged to use pedestrian crossings to the east on Cattell Street (near High Street or Clinton Terrace) to get to the sidewalk on College Avenue in lieu of crossing at the intersection of College Avenue and McCartney Street. See a map here.
