Do you want to help make the STEM fields more diverse, equitable, and inclusive? Then consider becoming an “at large” member of the RAISE Steering Committee!

RAISE (Representatives to Advance Inclusive STEM Education) is a new student group that collaborates on projects across the STEM fields to deepen and expand their impact and works with the Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education. To help organize the work of RAISE we are forming a RAISE Steering Committee, similar to the executive boards many student organizations have. Eight of the steering committee members will be representatives from existing student groups supporting inclusive STEM at Lafayette (Kovalevsky Society, LEADERS, NSBE, O-STEM, SHPE, SWE, WINC, and Women+ in Physics). The work of making STEM more diverse, equitable, and inclusive is the work of all of us and so we value the opinion and input of students who may not be a part of one of these eight organizations, but are active on campus in other ways. To help recognize this, the RAISE Steering Committee will have two “at large” members—students who are not in one of the eight student organizations. If you would like to be one of these two members on the RAISE Steering Committee, please fill out this form by 11:59 p.m. Sun., Nov. 6.
