Virginia Santiago ’25 will be opening their first McKelvy Scholars Sunday discussion on the topic of Privilege vs Opportunity. Bingo, bull’s eye, right on the money! These terms have been used interchangeably as well as to measure one’s individual successes. Privilege and opportunity are also seen in contexts such as race, feminism, socioeconomic status, etc. Therefore, let’s really pause and digest the presence of this content in our daily lives.
