The updated auction timeframe for the items salvaged from the homes along McCartney Street is now Dec. 14-Dec. 20. The items were removed from the homes before the houses were demolished to make room for Phase II of the McCartney Street mixed-use residential housing project, which will house approximately 165 students when it opens in the fall of 2024. Among the salvaged items include numerous wood doors, a chandelier, fireplace mantles, and stained glass windows.
The auction will be hosted by Saucon Valley Auction and can be bid on via the following link (the specific Lafayette items are Lot 400 through Lot 445). Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Easton Area Community Center. After the auction closes, items will be available for pickup from Saucon Valley Auction.
