This online workshop scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Wed., Jan. 18, will brief faculty on the issues that recent advances in artificial intelligence might introduce to college writing pedagogy. We will consider the pedagogical possibilities and potential threats that large language models might have for the classroom. Before the workshop, faculty are encouraged to register an account at, take some tutorials, and test the functionality of GPT-3 using the playground feature. This, however, is not a requirement for participation.
