The annual Pennsylvania State Speech and Debate tournament desperately needs judges for the weekend of Feb. 18–19. The tournament will be held on Lafayette’s campus.

The state tournament was supposed to be held at another Pennsylvania school. They, however, needed to back out of hosting due to some unforeseen circumstances. Due to this unexpected situation, the state organization made the decision to move the tournament to Lafayette.

A tournament cannot be run without judges; the Speech and Debate team really needs help from Lafayette’s faculty and staff. If you are able to jump in and judge, please contact Scott Placke. He will provide you a schedule and tournament details. Don’t worry about knowing how Speech and Debate functions; you will be taught. You can judge for a couple of hours or for an entire day.

Prepare to be wowed! The students will put on some amazing performances.
