The Honors Convocation Committee is seeking applicants for this year’s Carolynn Van Dyke Prize. Funds are available to provide non-traditional summer learning experiences. Preference is normally given to a student(s) majoring in computer science, but students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply by the Fri., March 17 deadline.

Non-traditional learning experiences are “opportunities for education, growth, and personal development that are not provided in the usual course work offered in the regular academic year or in paid and credit-bearing internships.”

Recipients will be selected on the basis of the quality of the proposal, its originality and value to the individual, and the individual’s need for such financial assistance. Awardee selection will be made in coordination with the provost and dean of advising and co-curricular programs.

The awardee(s) will be notified in April and recognized at the All-College Honors Convocation ceremony in Colton Chapel on Sun., April 30, 2023.
