Forrest Stuart named VP for Enrollment Management

Dear students, faculty, and staff,

I’m excited to announce that Forrest Stuart, our Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management, has agreed to take on this leadership role permanently.

Forrest joined the Lafayette community in 2019 as our Assistant Vice President for Financial Aid. His 30-plus years in the field include previous service as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Director of Financial Aid at Furman University from 2008-2018 and Director of Financial Aid at Rhodes College from 2000-08. He holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Clemson University, concentrating in higher education; a master of art’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Alabama; and a bachelor of art’s degree in human resources management from Birmingham-Southern College.

Since taking on the enrollment management role last spring, Forrest has led a very successful enrollment season for the Class of 2026 and is experiencing further success in the early decision process for the Class of 2027.

With his extensive senior-level experience in higher education, particularly in admissions and financial aid, Forrest has provided invaluable expertise and perspective to my leadership team since joining us last spring as well as developing strong relationships with our faculty. Forrest and I also visited several high schools together where he made meaningful connections with students, counselors, and parents regarding our deep commitment to academic and inclusive excellence. I am thrilled he has agreed to serve as our Vice President of Enrollment Management and look forward to his continued positive impact on our community and Lafayette’s success recruiting, enrolling, and retaining outstanding classes of new students.
