The Teaching and Learning Committee will be holding three meetings this week. Discussion will center on three of the items explored in the recent report on faculty feedback on the use of evaluations.

• The desire for an instructor-defined opening date for each course’s evaluation period
• The long-standing practice of making quantitative student evaluation data public
• Including questions addressing inclusivity in the student evaluations of teaching

One meeting will be for attendance only by pre-tenure and non-tenure-track faculty:
• 12:15-1:15 p.m. Tues., Feb. 28 • Skillman 206, Gendebien Room • MORE

Two meetings will be open to all faculty:
• Noon-1 p.m. Wed., March 1 • Skillman 206, Gendebien Room • MORE
• 12:15-1:15 p.m. Thurs., March 2 • Skillman 206, Gendebien Room • MORE

Attendees are welcome to arrive and depart as their schedules allow. Light lunch will be provided (first come, first served).

Each meeting will be hosted by members of the T&L committee. Those hosting the first meeting are committee members who are not tenured faculty.

In addition to attending these meetings, T&L welcomes conversation and correspondence during this time. The committee will discuss the feedback gathered during these sessions at its March 8 meeting.
