Happy Founders’ Day! The march to 2026 is on! On March 9, 1826, the College charter was signed, sparking the beginning of a nearly 200-year history. From its humble beginnings educating 43 students in a rented farmhouse at the top of College Hill, to preparing today’s talented and fearless 2,700+ students, Lafayette has never wavered on its mission to equip scholars to be tomorrow’s doers, thinkers, and changemakers.

Be on the lookout for a special edition of Lafayette Today Thursday that celebrates the generosity of the Lafayette community!
