Did you know? Lafayette’s College Writing Program works to support students of any major throughout the writing process.

Staffed by writing associates (WAs)—students who are trained to help facilitate the writing process—drop-in hours are open to all Lafayette College students to provide feedback on all forms of writing. WAs are here to help you, no matter what stage of the writing process you are at—whether this means helping you bounce off ideas in the brainstorming process, assisting with the structure and organization of your writing, starting your thesis, or keeping you accountable when meeting your deadlines, this resource is available to you.

Drop-in hours:
  • Sunday-Thursday, 3-5 p.m. • Pardee 319
  • Sunday-Thursday, 7-9 p.m. • Skillman Library 105

You also can schedule an appointment directly with a WA. Individual appointments last approximately 30 minutes.

Be on the lookout for other programming hosted by the College Writing Program like the recently held Write-a-Thon. There is also a weekly POC (people of color) writing session organized by Shirley Liu ’23 held Tuesdays at 4 p.m. in Pardee 319. These sessions are among the program’s newest additions to help students keep each other accountable and offer support during the writing process.

Additionally, the College Writing Program is currently accepting new applications for writing associates.
