The Lafayette College Institutional Review Board (IRB) is responsible for ensuring that research on people conducted by Lafayette faculty, staff, students, and guests is in compliance with federal regulations for protecting the rights and safety of human research participants.
The committee does not review new proposals during the summer.
Research projects on human participants that expect to begin data collection in summer or early fall 2023 should be submitted by April 21, 2023 to ensure that IRB review is not delayed until September 2023. For proposals that were already approved, please continue to report incidents and adverse events to the IRB chair immediately, even during summer months.
