Every year, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center coordinates the national Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) campaign in April to educate and engage the public in addressing this widespread issue. Campus Life, in collaboration with Peer Anti-Violence Educators (PAVE) Pards Against Sexual Assault (PASA), and Student Advocacy and Prevention, will host nine events throughout the month for the campus community to attend.
Week 1: Community Mobilizing
Week 2: Supporting Survivors/Survivor Stories
Week 3: Healthy Sexuality & Healthy Relationships
Week 4: Community Unity / Action
By raising awareness and educating others about this topic, we can do our part to help combat sexual violence on campus. If you or someone you know would like more information on resources and support, you can review the Title IX Resource Guide. If you would like to connect with a confidential advocate to discuss your options and resources, please reach out to Katy Bednarsky, Student Advocacy and Prevention Coordinator.
