Unless regulators step in (ha!), it may be possible to see large language models embedded into search, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and even course management systems.

A faculty workshop will provide an opportunity for faculty to come together and learn how to coax various kinds of functionality from language models by interacting with them through text (aka prompt engineering), and collectively testing them for accuracy.

Materials needed: It is strongly recommend that faculty register for a premium ChatGPT account that will provide fast access to the latest models. It will cost $20 for a month of testing (CWP should be able to reimburse a limited number of faculty for this cost). Faculty might also bring: 1) writing assignments from their courses; 2) sample exam questions from introductory courses they have taught; 3) a PDF of a scholarly article that the faculty member is intimately familiar with. 12 p.m. Mon., April 10 and 12 p.m. Tues., April 11 • Pardee Hall, Room 319 • MOREREGISTER
