Here are four ways to advocate for yourself at your Bailey Health Center appointment, or any medical appointment:

  1. Come prepared with a list of questions.
  2. Be specific and include details regarding your symptoms and concerns.
  3. If you disagree with your doctor, ask questions that can open opportunities for exploring other options.
  4. Not every patient and provider are a good match, so it’s OK to ask to see a new clinician.
