Green Move In runs Aug. 14 through Sept. 1.
During move-in, help reduce waste by packing your items in reusable containers. If your items come packaged, recycle by taking cardboard, styrofoam, and plastic bags to the POD containers located around campus. Last year, we recycled 3 tons of items and kept them from the landfill. Visit the Office of Sustainability’s website for more information about Green Move In and what to bring to campus for sustainable living.
Get school supplies, clothes, and more at the Campus Thrift Store. Pop-Up Thrift Stores will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 25, and at the Involvement Fair at Pardee Patio (date and time TBD). Items will be sold on a pay-what-you-can model, so you can set the cost that works for your budget. Thrift for the things you need, but remember to decrease overall consumption by reusing what you have.
