Need a quick bite between classes? There will be a new high-tech option once the fall semester begins.

Simon’s Market, on track for an Aug. 14 reopening in Kamine Hall, will feature Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology. Lafayette College will be the first Lehigh Valley college to offer this option on its campus. The enhanced shopping experience is powered by Transact Campus’ Transact Mobile Ordering. Customers will use the mobile app to enter the store and pay for their items, ensuring a convenient and seamless shopping experience without having to wait in line. The project is a partnership with Lafayette’s new dining provider, Parkhurst Dining.

Want to give it a test run? Simon’s Market will have a soft opening Aug. 14 for faculty, staff, and students. Stop by after 10 a.m. to test out the market.

Simon’s Market will feature fresh food, prepackaged meals, and other goods available daily, along with a meal-equivalency option for students to use with their meal plan. It will also feature local vendors, including; Khanisa’s pudding, Bank Street Creamery, Mia and Maddie’s Bakery, Pastificio 601, Casa de Jorge Salsa Company, Cece J’s Snacks, The Granola Factory, and Clusters Handcrafted Popcorn. Produce from LaFarm will be used in some of the On The Go! items when possible.

Starting Aug. 14, Simon’s Market will be open nearly 24/7, closing briefly 2-6 a.m. Mondays.
