Dave Sunderlin is the new faculty Athletics representative.
Many thanks to Prof. David Stifel who was the representative for the past seven years!
Among the duties of the role are:
- Representing the interest of the College faculty to the NCAA, to the Patriot League, and to the Department of Athletics.
- Monitoring the student experience with the College’s athletics program.
- Advising the director of Athletics on issues related to the functioning of the athletics program and the program’s support of the mission of the College.
- Advising the president on matters related to the Athletics program.
Also, while most Lafayette teams have a volunteer faculty mentor, there are a few for which this role is open and available. If you are interested in guiding Lafayette student-athletes in this way,
