Lafayette Allies for Gender Equity (LAGE) is one of the reading groups supported by the Hanson Center. LAGE is a learning community for male and non-binary members of the faculty, seeking to build capacity as allies and advocates for gender equity.
The group has varied its membership from year to year since it first met in the fall of 2017, focusing each time on including new individuals who had not previously attended. A given year’s membership of seven to nine new attendees meets about once a month at lunchtime to discuss readings and explore allyship.
