The bells of South College will ring for one minute at 4 p.m. Sun., Sept. 17, in honor of Constitution Day.

Lafayette College, along with many other institutions, will be ringing bells at this time to recognize Constitution Day, an American federal observance of the adoption of the United States Constitution. It is observed Sept. 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.

Additionally, Lafayette alumnus John Becica ’69  (on behalf of the Easton area Daughters of the American Revolution and the Sons of the American Revolution), invites members of the Lafayette community to an open house 12-4 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Parsons Taylor house, 40 Ferry St. in Downtown Easton.
