Each semester the Office of Intercultural Development (OID) coordinates keynote speakers, events, and shares resources to build awareness around heritage months.
For the spring 2024 semester, efforts are underway to plan events for the following months:
Black Heritage Month: Feb. 1-28
Women’s History Month: March 1-31
Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month: May 1-31
Have an event you want to promote?
Planning ahead will ensure that your event will be included in the featured article highlighting each month that’s shared with students, faculty, and staff. Those stories also are shared on news.lafayette.edu and through the College’s email newsletters and social accounts.
Prior to each month, there will be a call for events in Lafayette Today. Please be sure to add your events to calendar.lafayette.edu first, and then share the calendar URL with intercultural@lafayette.edu. OID will compile a list of events across campus that celebrate each heritage month and share that list with the campus community through Lafayette Today.
