Lafayette’s Digital Scholarship Services (DSS) and Special Collections and College Archives (SC&CA) are partnering to host a local instance of the Library of Congress Douglass Day transcribe-a-thon. Drop in Feb. 14 in the Gendebien Room, any time between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., to help transcribe, and review crowdsourced transcriptions of letters from Frederick Douglass’ personal correspondence. The Library of Congress (LoC) speaker live stream will be broadcast from 12-3 p.m. Snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. All Laf community members are welcome.
