Kudos to Kathryn Wright, Socheata Huot, and Sean Walshe, who won third place in the National GeoVideo Competition.
Their video, “Dam Criminals,” will be uploaded to the GeoInstitute YouTube channel soon. Wright and Walshe traveled to Vancouver with Associate Professor and Department Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering Mike McGuire to attend GeoCongress and present their video. The Geo-Institute provided $600 in travel support. Every year (other than his sabbatical and COVID), students in CE 361 develop GeoVideos as part of lab. The class holds an internal film festival and the best video is sent to the national competition.
