The Barge Oratorical Prize for Thesis Presentations is awarded to seniors who demonstrate excellence during the oral presentation of their honors thesis. The Prize has a rich tradition at Lafayette. The prize was originally endowed by Benjamin F. Barge in 1900.

Professors and advisors must nominate students for consideration by 5 p.m. March 29. Please send the name(s) and email(s) of all nominees to John Boyer at boyerj@lafayette.edu.

Students will be required to submit an eight-10 minute video that presents their thesis to the prize committee in order to be considered for the prize. Their thesis is not required to be complete at the time of recording. Nominees will be contacted with detailed instructions after the nomination period ends.
