The Hanson Center is pleased to host a discussion at 4:15 p.m. Thurs., March 28, in the Gendebien Room, with Mary Armstrong (WGSS and English) and Susan Averett (Economics) about their interdisciplinary partnership that produced their new book, Disparate Measures: The Intersectional Economics of Women in STEM Work (MIT Press 2024).

They will address how they conceptualized, built, and sustained their collaboration, as well as the surprises, challenges, and rewards they experienced throughout their shared intellectual journey. Enjoy refreshments and appetizers along with this engaging discussion with colleagues about interdisciplinarity as scholarly practice.
