Congratulations to Remy Oktay ‘24, Trebor Maitin ‘24, and Zachary Fiske ‘23! Their documentary “Silent Skies” earned a nomination from the Colorado Environmental Film Festival for Best Short Film. The documentary covers the trio’s work on the 2022 electric plane flyover during the Rivalry game. The film also won gold in the sustainability and climate change category and bronze in the responsible technology category at the Anthem Awards Ceremony in New York. Oktay says “Silent Skies” also earned Earth Port Film Festival’s 2024 Best Short Film award.
