Join the Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education Thurs., April 18 at 4:15 p.m. in Oechsle Hall 224 for a presentation on “Understanding Racial Trauma by Leaning into Complexity: Intersecting Pathways Toward Health Equity by Dr. John Rich, director of the RUSH BMO Institute for Health Equity and MacArthur Award recipient.

Rich’s significant scholarship, from his book Wrong Place, Wrong Time: Trauma and Violence in the Lives of Young Black Men (Johns Hopkins Press) to recent research on COVID-19 vaccination disparities, coupled with his experiences as a physician showcase the importance of diverse methods in understanding health inequalities. Rich’s visit is part of the Hanson Center’s spring programming on Systemic Inequalities in Health and Healthcare.
