On Thurs., April 11, the Easton community group The Village on College Hill will screen a vital documentary about the fight for abortion rights in 1972 Chicago, when abortions were still illegal.

“The Janes built an underground service for women seeking safe, affordable abortions. The Janes offers first-hand accounts from the women at the center of the group, many speaking on the record for the first time. This galvanizing documentary tells the story of our past and, potentially, our future.”–Human Rights Watch Film Festival. Everyone is invited and there is no charge for admission. Village films are shown with open captions.
