Each summer, Facilities schedules a main campus power shutdown to complete maintenance on the electrical distribution system. The plan is as follows:
Sat., July 20 (rain date Sun., July 21) – Electrical Maintenance Outage
The electricity to all main campus buildings will be turned off. Local building generators will remain on in certain buildings to maintain vivariums and other research-related projects.
Preventative maintenance and repairs will be completed at the electrical substation and in some campus buildings. The planned shutdown will last approximately eight hours (from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.). After the maintenance is completed, power will be restored to all buildings.
