The week coming back from Fall Break may be short, but there are a handful of things to do to get back in the swing of academics. Take a moment to ease back into your schedule by attending a movie night, Pilates class, or a creative Pride flag-making activity. Check out these events happening this week. 

  1. Prof. Prabhu Discussion: Sit in on a discussion with Rohan Prabhu, assistant professor of mechanical engineering. Prof. Prabhu will discuss the Kidd-lad, a design lab studying how design is influenced by human elements. 12:15-1:15 p.m. Wed., Oct. 15 • AEC 242 • MORE 
  2. Pilates Glow: Take a moment for yourself and your health by signing up for Pilates Glow. The class is mat-based, strengthening different muscle groups along with practicing different breathing techniques. 4:30-5:15 p.m. Wed., Oct. 15 • Kirby Sports Center Room 136 • MORE
  3. Make Your Own Pride Flag With the Arts Society: Create your own Pride flag with the Office of Intercultural Development, Arts Society, and OUT Lafayette to celebrate LGBTQIA+ History Month. Open to all students, the Pride flags made can be kept by students. 4-6 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 16 • 641 Parsons St. • MORE 
  4. Music Movie Night: Enjoy a movie night presented by Music Appreciation Floor. The film The Mafia will be shown; the event is open to all students. 7:30-9:30 p.m. Fri., Oct. 17 • Limburg Theater • MORE 
  5. Women’s Soccer vs. Army: Cheer on Lafayette women’s soccer as the team plays against Army West Point. 7-9 p.m. Sat., Oct. 18 • Gummeson Grounds • MORE
