Competing against nearly 70 other clubs and varsity programs at the Knecht Cup Regatta, the Lafayette College Crew Club won the men’s and women’s club four events.
On April 11, the team placed five boats into April 12 grand finals, including the men’s single, men’s novice four, club varsity fours, and men’s novice eight.
On April 12, Lafayette’s top women beat crews from Nova Southeastern, George Mason, Jefferson, Pittsburgh, and UNH to take the gold medal in 8:21.
The men’s club four topped Fordham, UConn, George Mason, and UNH and crossed the finish line more than eight seconds ahead of second.
The novice men’s eight ended the day with a bronze-medal finish seven seconds behind Fordham and three seconds behind second-place UMass.
The Crew Club will race at the Dad Vail Regatta May 8-9.
