Qinwen (Karina) Deng ’26, an electrical and computer engineering honors thesis student advised by Prof. Priyank Kalgaonkar, had her first-authored paper, “Quantum Convolutional Neural Network for Mammography Classification,” accepted to the 2026 IEEE World AIoT Congress. The paper was selected following a rigorous double-blind peer review. Her research explores the intersection of quantum computing, machine learning, and medical imaging.
