The beginning of a new academic year brings both excitement and stress. Here are a few suggestions from the Counseling Center to help you THRIVE this fall!

  • Set realistic goals and include little rewards along the way.
  • Learn to value making lists (and enjoy crossing things off of them).
  • Take time to explore the campus and learn about available resources.
  • Build connections by limiting screen time and taking in your college experience.
  • Prioritize sleep and spending time outdoors.
  • Make choices that align with your values.
  • Trust your boundaries when navigating challenges.
  • Embrace adaptability and give yourself grace when life feels tough.
  • Maintain connection with your support systems.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for help!
  • Lastly, join the Counseling Center at THRIVE 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 10, at Anderson Courtyard to learn more!
